Delivering lessons that are easy-to-use and fun-to-learn
Voweletics is your proven solution. Each of the 25 Voweletics lessons follows the same simple format. Lessons are broken into three learning sections:
- MEET - Introduce the new vowel sound
- METHOD - Teach the new vowel skill
- MASTER - Provide activities to apply new knowledge
Starting at the top, children complete each activity checking their progress along the way!
Below is a sample of the components found under Lesson 1.

MEET
A new Voweletics character is introduced which serves as the guide word for the vowel sound taught in the lesson.
Character Introduction

Character Introduction
To kick off each lesson, children meet a new Voweletics character. Each character is a resident of Readersville, where children go to grow their reading skills. The characters serve as the guide words for the varying vowel sounds. Audio files bring each of the endearing characters to life.
Step into Readersville where you’ll meet Antly, who spreads cheer to everyone she meets.
Character Song
All Voweletics characters have their very own Character Song. Songs from varying genres personify each unique character, and not only add to the FUN factor, but also promote learning via memory association skills. A child might have trouble remembering what sound a short a makes in a word, but Antly always helps out with a smile on her face.
Take a little listen to learn the secret to Antly’s cheerful nature.

Pre Assessment

Pre Assessment
Assessment word choices coordinate with the lesson’s vowel sound instruction. Children are given one minute to read from the word list while his or her mentor records the results. Both Pre and Post Assessments will be administered. This serves as a quick check to note improvement once lesson instruction is complete.
METHOD
Charts and chips are used to teach word decoding using the revolutionary Voweletics method.
Rule Song
Rule songs teach which vowel sounds should be heard in words. The rules are visually represented on color-coded charts. These charts provide a quick reference for determining correct vowel sounds. The Voweletics charts are used repeatedly throughout the program and form the basis for the revolutionary Voweletics method.

Charting Practice
Watch how Voweletics takes the guessing out of learning to read.
Charting Practice averages under 10 minutes of teaching instruction.
Charting Practice
Voweletics Charting Practice provides the roadmap for developing the correct internal process needed to accurately sound out words. Children are hands-on using charts and chips. They follow along as the web teacher guides the learning process using the Voweletics method. When children understand how & why different vowel sounds are heard, they can duplicate their knowledge in reading thousands of words.

MASTER
An assortment of activities reinforce the vowel skills being taught in the lesson. Activities focus on word decoding, spelling, fluency and comprehension.
Word List

Word Lists reinforce the vowel sound and pattern taught in each lesson. Children practice reading single words in isolation, building in complexity. Word Lists provide an excellent opportunity to build vocabulary and improve reading fluency using the accompanying audio files.
Skill Sheets

Skill Sheets are practice worksheets coordinating with the vowel sound and pattern in the lesson. Varying skill levels is just another way Voweletics provides learning material to meet each child’s need.
Reader's Theater

Reader’s Theater is one of the “top five” favorite Voweletics activities! Repeated reading is a proven strategy which increases reading fluency, develops proper reading expression and builds reading confidence.
Each Reader’s Theater activity has three selections of varying skill levels. The difficulty level is arranged in sequential order from easiest-to-hardest.
The reading selections include select words with the vowel sounds and patterns taught in the lessons. Children love listening to the read-along files and completing their repeated reading practice to ready themselves for…
SHOWTIME!!!
Spelling Activities

Spelling activities are interspersed throughout the 25 lessons. Children practice forming words using consonants and consonant blends. Newly learned phonetic skills naturally develop into that important reading/writing connection.
Post Assessment

The Post Assessment words are the same words found on the Pre Assessment. This is done intentionally to monitor progress after lesson instruction is complete. The most EXCITING part is the exponential growth children show from lesson-to-lesson. It truly warms your heart! ♥
Chart Check

Chart Checks, found at the end of every lesson, serve as the cumulative review from all lessons previously completed. Children use charts and chips to chart and read each word. Once completed, they press the Chart Check button to check for accuracy. Confidence is building!!!
